Letters Upon The Aesthetic Education of Man (1794)
Schiller is the intellectual history of Germany. His did work in history and philosophy. In the letter he wrote “Esthetic Education” his given the philosophic basic for is doctrine of art and his view of the place of beauty in human life. This letter was inspired by the disenchantment Schiller felt about the France Revolution. He wrote the letter as a philosophical inquiry into what had gone wrong and how to prevent such tragedies in the future.
In letter 1, it will be about Beauty and Art , his want show his researches about beauty and art. The author explain with regard to the ideas which predominate in the practical part of Kant's system, philosophers only disagree, whilst mankind, his very confident of proving, have never done so. His also has explain about his investigation where on is compelled to appeal as frequently to feeling as to principles. Other than that, his say like the chemist the philosopher finds synthesis only by analysis, or spontaneous works of nature only through the torture of art. Thus in order to detain the fleeting apparition, he must enchain it in the fetters of rule, dissect its fair proportions into abstract notions, and preserve its living spirit in a fleshless skeleton of words.
In letter 2, Art is can be distinguished from utility and science is the second part of the letter   . highlighted by Schiller. But the voice of our age seems by no means favorable to art, at all events to that kind of art to which his inquiry is directed. For art has to leave reality, it has to raise itself bodily above necessity and neediness; for art is the daughter of freedom, and it requires its prescriptions and rules to be furnished by the necessity of spirits and not by that of matter Utility is the great idol of the time, to which all powers do homage and all subjects are subservient. Conclusion in this, his very hope that his shall succeed in convincing to us that this matter of art is less foreign to the needs than to the tastes of our age; nay, that, to arrive at a solution even in the political problem, the road of aesthetics must be pursued. It is because it is through beauty that his arrive at freedom.
In letter 3, he want tell about the realm of nature, within which man lives, does not contain all of man: the work of reason allows man to transcends the bounds of nature by elevating physical necessity into moral necessity, from the state of nature to the moral state–without, however, jeopardizing the realm of nature that nourishes man. Man is not better treated by nature in his first start than her other works are; he can convert the work of necessity into one of free solution, and elevate physical necessity into a moral law. It is to prevent physical society from ceasing for a moment in time, while the moral society is being formed in the idea; in other words, to prevent its existence from being placed in jeopardy, for the sake of the moral dignity of man.
In letter 4, he want explain about the state of nature works by compulsion, while the moral state works through freedom and rational choice. Consequently, when reason brings her moral unity into physical society, she must not injure the manifold in nature. When nature strives to maintain her manifold character in the moral structure of society, this must not create any breach in moral unity; the victorious form is equally remote from uniformity and confusion. Therefore, totality of character must be found in the people which is capable and worthy to exchange the state of necessity for that of freedom.
In letter 5, he explain to us about the  present state is characterized by lower classes governed “animal satisfactions,” while the higher classes exhibit and even more disgusting ”lethargy” in the form of unfettered egotism. Egotism has founded its system in the very bosom of a refined society, and without developing even a sociable character, we feel all the contagions and miseries of society. We subject our free judgment to its despotic opinions, our feelings to its bizarre customs, and our will to its seductions. Thus the spirit of the time is seen to waver between perversions and savagism, between what is unnatural and mere nature, between superstition and moral unbelief, and it is often nothing but the equilibrium of evils that sets bounds to it.
For conclusion, in this all letter what I know this book very hard to understand what his want tell to us because all the letter has a deep meaning to understanding. What I know his want tell to us his want to build this world so that it can be properly arranged in a good ways. His also give the difference about all the thing it look to explain to us. And this is the conclusion I should give. Thank you.

DEBATE TRANSCRIPT GROUP 7
THAT DRAWING SKILLS IS BETTER THAN COMPUTER GRAPHIC SKILLS (NEGATIVE)  (SPEAKER 1)

Firstly, I disagree with opposite time line. In my opinion that computer graphic skills is better than drawing skills. Let me give some definition about drawing and computer graphic skills. For me drawing is a picture or plan made by means of  lines on surface and for as I know the computer graphic skills is the use of a computer to produce and manipulated pictorial image on video screen such as in animation technique.

Let me introduce our negative team line member…I’m as speaker 1..okey good evening to doctor Tan. Firstly I very disagree with affirmative time line. Today as we know designer s may use different media example like illustration or photography not just use drawing skills technique.

In my opinion, the computer graphic skills are better than drawing skills. Firstly, the advantage of computer graphic skills it can make easy to do work and speed up the work. It can make work more fast and efficient.
For example what you will do if your drawing have make little bit mistake. You want to do the new one for correction. It may take lot time for do the new one right. But for me in computer graphic skills I just do see the keyboard and just press Ctrl + z and it will undo it the mistake. It’s easy right. For conclusion it very easy to do work and also can save our time.

For me secondly, in general it look more professional with computer graphic skills. Today as we know animator also used the computer graphic skills to do build animation work. Other than that, with it also make we easy to learn the new thing.

For my conclusion, drawing skills also important today but the computer graphic skills more important because it more widespread today along with the era globalization. Thank you.

Critique Challenger
Adverstisments are amoung the most creative and powerful forms of arguments today. For this assignment “Critique Challenger”, in the group we must choose one of the advertisement and we must critique about that. The advertisement had we choose, is about “Malaysian Independent Day Advertisment By Petronas 2008”. From this advertisement we all group member must  critique this advertisement based on the evaluation in terms of  Subjectivism, Objectivism, Relativism and Emotivism. I have chosen to do the evaluation in terms of Objectivism. What I know about objectivism is the applicable to the reality that a thought or feeling of being observed from the observation. And the objectivism also what I know it most to general. For example from this advertisement audience should be able to finish watching this advertisment from the beginning to the end voluntarily.

From this advertisement, firstly the criterion is it give a message to public or community the importance of saving early and also about the sacrifice of father to his son. For the example Aiman’s father had told him that his father has no money, but actually make savings to a bright future for his son. This advertisement also carries the massage on how to save money abundance for the future of all children’s education. From this advertisement also describes the current children all still have to ask all parents. For example, during Aiman childhood he had requested from the parent. Nets to fish?, Birthday wish?, Tanks to play?, Wooden Car?. And when he was grow up he also ask their parent want to further their education to a higher level. There are nothing is impossible.

Here, I also like to agree with my partner is do the emotivism because from this advertisement it is brings a bigger impact to audience in emotional evaluation. This is because from this advertisement it can make audience feel the sadness, happy and proud. For the example at the last of this video, Aiman make his parent proud with him and has made his father happy by giving gifts to his motorcycle.

This advertisement, also brings to us the moral of story. “Your business as well as for your retirement future”. Even on a small scale with a jackfruit orchard area per acre, but still can afford to send their children to the ivory tower or education to a higher level and become useful people in society.

For conclusion, I think this advertisement very successful this is because it can brings a deep impression on audience and also brings a very significant massage to public. I also think with the other criteria of evaluation of Emotivism, Relativism and Subjectivism it can made the complete the best advertisement to bringing out massage to audience. Finally, and what is interesting inn this advertisement is the advertisement have been made many spectators moved to watch. Thank you.

Emotional Design

EMOTIONAL DESIGN Emotional Design is a book by Donald Norman. In this book, the main issue is that emotions have a crucial role in the human ability to understand the world, and how they learn new thing. Such as aesthetically pleasing objects appear to the user to be more effective, by virtue of their sensual appeal. This is due to the affinity the user feels for an object that appeals to him, due to the formation of an emotional connection. Norman has changed the concept to be suitable for application in design. In this book the focus point of Emotional Design is that “attractive things work better.” His explores how emotional affect purchase decisions based on three aspects of design. The three aspects is the visceral (appearance), behavioral (performance) and reflective (memories and experiences). The visceral level is fast: it makes rapid judgments of what is good or bad, safe or dangerous, and sends appropriate signal to the muscles (the motor system) and alerts the rest of the brain. This is the start of affective processing. These are biologically determined and can be inhibited or enhanced through control signals from above. For the behavioral level is the site of most human behavior. It’s action can be enhanced inhibited by the layer reflective layer and, in turn, it can enhance or inhibit the visceral layer. And the highest is that of reflective thought. Note that it does not have direct access either to sensory input or to the control of behavior. Instead it watches over reflects upon, and tries to bias the behavioral level. In this book also has explains that must understanding the three parts of designs can helps a business make the most of their product designs and marketing efforts. After all, an ad has images and those images can stir emotions. Service-based business can turn the not significant into the significant and apply the concepts from the book. After laying out his unified theory of design, his focus to the next few chapters to the practice of design by providing a variety. For example, such as National Football League coaches, Swatch watches, and Diesel clothing stores. All this example add to the book by providing a concrete demonstration of design principles. He does not elaborate on the challenges of designing radical innovations, but Norman talk about the design aspects of incremental innovations, calling them enhancers. Designers can observe the users of incremental innovations, discover usage difficulties, and make appropriate changes to make them work better. The design of radical innovations is a different challenge altogether, in which the design is based totally on the vision of the product designers. Design of radical innovations also may have huge positioning implications. In the last chapter in this book Norman has discussion the role of emotional machines and the future of robots. And his believe that emotions will be of the part machine designs in the future so that people may better communicate with these machines. I was like by some his thoughts in this section. People will tend to attribute human qualities to robots that appear such human. However his suggests that making robot humanlike will backfire. This is because people are least accepting of creatures that look human. This led me to interesting for me to think about that. Did Sony introduce its AIBO robot, which are shaped like dogs, because these animal appeal to us at a visceral level and also because we are forgiving of robots that are designed to look like pets? If this rational is indeed correctly, the potential of emotional design to create entirely new market spaces is extraordinary, and inside the greater value of his theory of product design. In summary, the central premise that a great product can be developed by integrating all three aspects of design is innovative this book also help designers and suggests that product design is much more visceral design as is commonly practiced. This book also has an appropriate mix of academic neatness and practical relevance. That all.thank you.
